With all the big weather-related crises – crippling heat in Europe and China, catastrophic flooding in Pakistan, the devastation wrought by Hurricane Fiona – complaining about your own farm’s spells of rain or heat (or wild swings between the two) seems churlish. But some climate scientists suspect a link between these big disasters and a trend towards more persistent weather.
