If someone had told me six months ago that I would be Editor of a magazine that fascinates, excites, and provides such purpose, I would have thought, you are crazy and maybe a bit delusional. Yet here I am with flip chart lists, ideas and stories taped to just about every available surface in my office and workshop. How did I not know this role was out there? The simple answer, it was not, the editorial role has been done extremely well by Tom Henry since Small Farm Canada’s inception in 2005.
Now is my big chance, as Tom wants to pursue more of some other compelling stuff like driving cattle, fattening hogs, feeding chickens, making hay, yoga, golf, wood cutting…
And what are my big plans as SFC Editor? And what are Farms.com’s big plans as new owners? Our biggest plan is to continue to deliver compelling, valuable small farm content, enjoyed currently, meaning continue to have an open mind and entertain diversity of thought, opinion, and ideas. It also means continuing to deliver information with the same values and principles as before, but with a few new ideas thrown in for good measure. Drop me a line if you want to share your ideas, I am all eyes!
