Farming in Canada can be very isolated, farms across Ontario, the pPrairies, and British Columbia, and the territories can be extremely remote, and farming can be a dangerous occupation. Between livestock and equipment there are many things on a farm that can cause bodily harm these two factors are why STARS exists.
As Canada’s Vital Rural healthcare experts STARS mission is to save rural and farm lives with their emergency transportation and top medical staff.
Since 2012 STARS has been saving rural lives across the prairies with their fleet of helicopters specifically fitted to act as an ICU, with any injury time is always an important factor and STARS can provide immediate care as soon as they arrive. Farms can register with STARS emergency link centre for faster service when needed.
STARS make 3000 emergency trips a year to farms across Canada saving the lives of thousands over itstheir eight years of service. STARS isf funded by the government of Saskatchewan and the donations of farmers, ranchers and other rural inhabitants.
