Seedy Saturdays are underway in many towns and cities across the country! For those who haven’t participated Seedy Saturdays (and even Sundays in some locals) host seed and plant sales, food vendors, presentations, workshops, and seed swaps. In person events are almost the norm again but may also feature an online component.
It is great to get out to see what is new or new to you, native and regionally adapted seeds to your area.
Seedy Saturdays are often hosted by local agricultural societies, garden clubs and libraries. The Seeds of Diversity website @ seeds.ca has a list of events including Seedy Saturday/Sunday listings across the country.
I’ll be heading to a local Seedy Saturday at Erin United Church on March 11th to see and swap.
