The International Plowing Match & Rural Expo (IPM) is set to enthrall audiences this September with its iconic rodeo showcase: the RAM Rodeo Tour.
As one of IPM's most anticipated events, it promises a thrilling family day out, all included in the IPM entry price.
Having graced the IPM for nearly two decades, the RAM Rodeo is a steadfast fan favourite says Ross Millar of the Ross Millar Entertainment Group.
“It’s a fan favourite for sure. The stands are always full and we couldn’t be happier that they are returning to participate again this year,” says Bill McCutcheon, co-chair of this year’s IPM Local Committee.
With the rodeo being hosted in Dufferin County, Millar's home ground, this year promises to be particularly special. The 2023 IPM is scheduled from September 19 to 23 in Bowling Green, Dufferin County, Ontario.
Attendees can look forward to performances from 150 of Canada's top cowboys and cowgirls. Events span from the intense bareback riding to the complex saddle bronc riding, showcasing the rodeo's rich heritage.
Combine that with adrenaline-packed bull riding, swift barrel racing, strategic pole bending, and the thrilling rescue race, and it's clear this show is unparalleled.
In addition to the riders, the rodeo showcases approximately 80 horses, 18 bulls, and is supported by a 25-member crew. For just $20 (advance ticket pricing), where else could one find such family-friendly entertainment? The combined IPM and rodeo experience is ideal for families in search of a memorable day out.
While attendees are guaranteed entertainment, for riders, the stakes are high. The IPM rodeo is a significant event on the professional circuit.
Success here could pave the way to the RAM Championships in October and serve as a qualifier for the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair competition.
More than 70,000 people are expected to attend the 2023 IPM.
