The Junior Farmer’s Association of Ontario (JFAO) is excited to share that it is planning the Ontario Young Farmers Forum (OYFF) as a hybrid event. This year’s OYFF program will consist in-person farm tours and a four-part virtual speaker series.
This forum is held in throughout November for those aged 18-40 interested in or involved in agriculture. Held in conjunction with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) annual convention, delegates will have the opportunity to learn, connect and discuss agricultural issues that are faced on a daily basis.
The virtual discussion program of the OYFF consists a four-part speaker series:
- November 4: Farm Safety and Advocating for Agriculture
- November 10: Soil Health for Farm Business and Health
- November 15: Farm Succession Planning with MNP
- November 23: Innovative Farmer Panel
The OYFF 2021 in-person program held on November 27th and November 28th are still to be determined.
Registration is being offered free of charge for online webinars. There is a $10 registration fee for in-person farm tours to reserve a spot and fund will be donated to Do More Ag Foundation, a Provincial Charity for 2021.
