Are you interested in developing a rotational grazing plan for your operation?
By implementing Advanced Grazing Systems on your farm, you can help improve production, profitability, carbon sequestration, drought resilience, biodiversity and soil health.
The Ontario Forage Council is pleased to offer the Advanced Grazing Systems program – a program that provides training for producers to gain key concepts in rotational grazing.
This program is supported by Farmers for Climate Solutions, in partnership with the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association.
The curriculum is designed to teach farmers the basics of grazing management systems and supporting management practices that can support carbon sequestration!
Professionals and farm operators will be able to network with other grazing producers and gain instructional support resources.
The Advanced Grazing Systems program will be delivered in three separate series of seven online sessions, followed by field days next spring/summer 2023.
Series 1: Anita O’Brien – Wednesdays 7:30pm – 9 pm August 17 – September 28
Series 2: Dean Cober – Thursdays 7:30 pm – 9 pm October 13 – November 24
Series 3: Birgit Martin – Tuesdays 7:30 pm – 9 pm January 10 – February 21
The field days will demonstrate the implementation of systems outlined in the program modules.
