Nature Conservancy Canada Backyard Bio-Blitz – August 3 - 7
Join thousands of citizens across the country to share photo observations in the Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Big Backyard BioBlitz. Benefits for participants include getting out in nature and contributing to documentation of the species. This “library” of documents will help scientists and others take stock of local biodiversity, track rare species and fight invasive ones.
This ultimately helps in conservation efforts.
Big Backyard BioBlitz participants last year, documented 5,323 different species!
Here is how to get involved:
Signup @NatureConservancy.ca! You’ll receive instructions on how to take part, and resources along the way.
Participate anywhere. As long as it is in Canada, every contribution can count. Audio recordings are also welcome.
Last share your discoveries. Between August 3-7 go out, photograph or record observations and share at #NCCBioBlitz
