Are you apart of a non-profit garden project in Canada? Share how your garden grows for a chance to win $5000.
Nature’s Path, North America’s largest certified organic breakfast and snack food company is awarding 22 community gardens each with $5,000, through its annual Gardens for Good program.
Founded in 2010, the Gardens for Good program support community gardens annually that aim to provide fresh organic food for those who might not otherwise have access to it.
"Community gardens connect people to food – the growing of it and the sharing of its bounty," says Jyoti Stephens, Vice President of Mission and Strategy at Nature's Path.
"They can help increase food security by providing hyper-local access to healthy organic fruits and vegetables while also serving as a hub to connect people in communities to each other."
Since Gardens for Good’s initiation, Nature’s Path has donated more than $500,000 and supported 52 community garden projects.
Canadian registered charities and not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply if they meet the following requirements:
- Are in good standing in its Canadian jurisdiction of incorporation
- Are registered as having tax exempt status with the Canada Revenue Agency or equivalent recognition
- Are not a previous Gardens for Good Contest winner

The final 22 garden winner swill be selected by number of votes and through an internal vetting process which Nature Path’s team evaluates garden applicants.
The Winner Announcement Period will take place on National Gardening Day which falls on April 14th, 2022.
