Over millennia goats have developed several adaptations to give them an advantage over potential predators. Of particular interest is their distinctive eyes. Goats’ pupils are rectangular. This gives them an impressive range of 320-to-340-degree vision. This range is accomplished without moving their head. Human beings in comparison have 160-to-210-degrees range of vision.
Goats are also considered to have excellent night vision.
