When you’re cooking a great meal, what is the one ingredient that will take any dish to the next level? That’s right – garlic! Everyone enjoys the kick of flavour that garlic adds to any dish, but do you love it enough to attend a festival dedicated to garlic?

Garlic festivals are on the rise across Canada.  They have been impactful for boosting the garlic industry and supporting local agriculture.

What would a garlic festival be without garlic? The staple of any garlic festival is the producers. Each festival features a market where local garlic growers can offer their fresh garlic or garlic-infused products. You might even be surprised by the different garlic-y products you come across. For example, some festivals are promoting their popular garlic ice cream!
