Saskatchewan, Alberta – The Do More Agriculture Foundation, a non-profit championing metal health in agriculture, has hired three new board members. Amy Vanderheid, Liz Jarvis, and Lauren Martin will help Do More Ag continue to raise awareness, fostering conversations and partnerships, and bringing mental health resources to Canadian producers and those within agriculture.
Amy Vanderheid is a Farmer from Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. She is the former President of the Chicken Producers Association of Nova Scotia and co-founded the Maritime Ag Women’s Network.
Liz Jarvis has many years of experience in the non-profit sector. She currently works at 4-H Canada, and brings experience leasing strategic communications and government relations.
Lauren Martins is the Government and Food Industry Relations Manager at Canadian Cattlemen’s Association. She will bring her passion for advocating for producers to Do More Ag.
“The new members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help Do More Ag continue to grow as an organization and serve Canadian producers in new ways,” says Do More Ag Co-Founder and Chair Himanshu Singh.
Do More Ag’s focus and efforts are driven by three pillars: awareness, community, and research. The organization strives to change the culture of agriculture to one where all producers are encouraged, supported, and empowered to take care of their mental well-being.
