Meat & Poultry Ontario (MPO) celebrates its 40-year anniversary at the 2021 Red Carpet Gala in Waterloo Ontario.
The 2021 Red Carpet Gala brought MPO’s members together to celebrate the commitment to both the organization and Ontario’s meat sector, as well as honour the individuals that make up the association.
Notable recognitions are as follows:
- Ontario Pork, founding MPO member and commodity partner, is the first to receive a 40-year membership award
- King Cole Duck of Stouffville, Ontario receives the Meat Industry Achievement Award for their achievements in the meat and poultry industry
- Viscofan Canada is awarded the Associate Member Recognition Award for their contribution to the association and the industry
Abate Packers, Canadian Butcher Supply, Domingos Meat Packers, Sargent Farms and Townsend Butchers are honoured and recognized for 25 years of loyal MPO membership.
As well, members such as Bramic Sales, Charlies Meat and Seafood, Hayter’s Turkey Products and University of Guelph (Meat Science Laboratory, Department of Animals & Poultry Science) received their 10-year membership plaque.
“Tonight, we celebrate the champions of Ontario’s meat sector, who have supported our organization for over 40 years,” says Franco Naccarato, Executive Director of Meat & Poultry Ontario.
“These members are dedicated to building their businesses and contributing to the industry and their communities. Tonight, is a time to say thank you and celebrate their innovation and accomplishments.”
