A couple of summers ago we started an education feature in our summer issue. One of the unique features of education that we highlighted was STEAM.
The addition of arts to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) to create STEAM is about incorporating creative thinking and applied arts in real situations. Art is about discovering and creating ingenious ways of problem solving, integrating principles or presenting information.
An architect for example, uses engineering, math, technology, science and art to create stunning building and structures.
Since our initial exposure to STEAM two summers ago, we have featured more than a few farmer and forester artists on our magazine pages. Right brain creativity with left brain analytics, is a partnership with endless possibilities on the farm.
Farmers and foresters that are inclined (maybe due to your well-rounded social skills), show us your work at Editor@SmallFarmCanada.ca.
