This week’s cool tool is statistical analysis. You may be thinking ‘what?’ and ‘yuck!’. But the objects of our analysis are cool tools to demonstrate. Since introducing the SFC cool tools feature, we have developed 66 cool tools. With that many under our belt a look back is in order, to help guide the future.
At Small Farm Canada we personally experienced over 85 per cent of the cool tools we have presented. Of those 85+ per cent, seven per cent was a very poor experience. On the other end of the scale, 27 per cent of the tools we reviewed were amazing. The rest as you can surmise lie somewhere in between. Happily, our experiences were heavily weighted to the positive.
The stats that really matter, are all about our readers. The top five cool tools based on traffic to SmallFarmCanada.ca were:
Radley 40V Chainsaw
Explore using a cherry picker for harvest
Battery powered pole saw
Tips and tools to avoid a tick born illness
This gas cultivator can help you turn over a new leaf
What does that tell us about future cool tools? Exploration of power options, health tips and personal experience is all of value.
This tongue-in-cheek use of statistical analysis is a small demonstration of the power of looking at the numbers to help guide plans on your farm or homestead.
