I use hand shears for many jobs including deadheading. In fact, I use them so much that I have a pair in my bag that I keep with me constantly. I often question whether specialty tools are worthwhile. But I do a lot of deadheading and find that regular shears or clippers aren’t always up to the job. I decided to give Deadheads a try.
Deadheading helps flowering plants be more productive and healthier. It helps to direct energy into stronger growth and more flowers, instead of seed pods, which are often unwanted mid-season. Deadheading also helps to reduce spread of disease.
The Deadheads (tool) were easy to use, sharp and effective. They are also lighter than regular clippers and easier to manipulate amongst the blooms.
