I found this cool little composter at our local farm supply store and just wanted to share.
I have a compost pile but have also been looking for a portable system, especially for when processing or canning fruit or veg.
A composter that is portable enough that I could put by the kitchen door, one that seals and can also be easily moved away when it is full.
A small anaerobic composter like the one pictured here does all that and can yield some high nutrient value compost from green waste like strawberry hulls, corn husks and waste from pickling and other preserving endeavours.
In the September-October issue of Small Farm Canada Dan Kerr shares his plans for a DIY anaerobic composter.
