New Holland has new upgrades to its TH Series telehandlers.
Perhaps the most notable change is the addition of Forklift Mode.
This helps the operator use the telehandler like a forklift does.
“Instead of having to manually adjust the boom in and out as you’re raising your load, you have the ability to set Forklift Mode, where the carriage will simply raise up or (go) down without changing its plane,” said Lena Bioni a product marketing manager with New Holland.
Other options include Loading Mode, which gives priority to fast shuttling and rapid boom movement. Handling Mode supports smooth shuttling and boom operation.
And in Transport Mode, boom hydraulics are disabled, smooth power shuttling is enabled, and two-wheel steer is engaged.
And for when a load is in the telehandler, there’s Active Bucket Shake.
This feature uses a button on the joystick to help empty loads efficiently.
Other upgrades are in the cab.
“The biggest that you may notice is the 7-inch LCD display with a rearview camera,” said Lena Bioni, a product marketing manager with New Holland.
The display is standard in the TH Series, which includes the TH7.42 with its 7-metre reach and 4,000 kg lift capacity, and the TH9.35, which can reach 9 metres and lift 3,500 kg.
Beside the display is a new Load Moment Indicator.
This indicator features stability risk levels and alerts the operator if the machine reaches the maximum authorized load condition.
Another upgrade is the shuttling lever included on the joystick.
This makes shuttling in forward and reverse while moving bales an efficient operation.
