Anyone in the market for a versatile and powerful machine suitable for both small and large farms and acreages may want to consider the 1835 M tractor from Massey Ferguson.
The frame may be small, but the tractor is well equipped to handle farm tasks, said Myles Fuchs, an ag sales rep from Nick’s Service in Emerald Park, Sask.
“35 engine horsepower is a lot of power in a small frame,” he said. “With a 72-inch skid steer style bucket capable of switching between any front-mounted skid steer implement including pallet forks. This unit has a lifting capacity of roughly 1,900 pounds (861kg).”
The rear lift capacity on the 1835 M is 2,535 pounds (1,149 kg).
The 1835 M can also be configured with a mid-mount PTO, ideal for snowblowers.
And for those using the tractor in the winter, glow plugs come standard to help the tractor start on those cold days.
Customers can choose between a standard or deluxe cab, or an open station unit.
The deluxe cab includes features like four overhead LED work lights and an air-ride seat with armrests.
The back of the tractor has a three-point hitch for implements like rough cut mowers or rototillers.
The tractor comes standard with a 12 x 12 power shuttle, 3-range hydrostatic transmission with independent forward and reverse pedals.
“It’s extremely easy for any level of experienced operator to jump in and get the most out of this tractor with the high, medium and low range option on the transmission,” Fuchs said.
