Penta Equipment brought a new mixer to market chalked full of features to enhance efficiency, durability and productivity.
The 1240, part of the overall 40 Series, has 225 HP minimum and 1166 cu. ft. capacity.
Penta designed the unit be more robust, starting with its frame.
The frames are built with ½” and ¾” steel and borrow characteristics from the industrial and construction industries.
The conveyor comes standard with stainless steel pans and rails, with multiple options, like a Flip-up or Dual configuration, available to fit an operation’s needs.
“We know you need a reliable machine, so we’ve made sure that we’ve used material that won’t wear out,” said Trevor Newman, Penta Equipment’s chief operating officer.
This also includes the undercarriage, which is equipped with a durable suspension.
600 cu. ft. models and up come with off road suspensions to reduce wear and tear on the unit. Customers can also customize configurations with available brakes and steering options.
The 1040, for example, has a 984-cu. ft. capacity. A smaller mixer with 300 cu. ft. capacity, the 3040, will also be available.
Another main feature of the 1240 is the patent-pending tub.
“It has an inside liner made of ¼” stainless steel that is really allowing the feed to mix in a uniform way,” Newman said. “And with our augers, we actually have some overlap in the centre that is allowing the front to back mixing in this mixer.”
And when it’s time to unload or clean the unit, all models come with 44"-48" wide rear material doors.
